Our Magazine Advert

For the second of our ancillary tasks, we had to make a magazine advert.
The conventions of a magazine advert are that the image is the same as the CD cover, so that it is recignizable in the shop and the advert is clearly for the CD your trying to tell. it also says reviews, where we chose to have radio 1 and NWE magazine rating it, as theese would be appealing for the audience and something that our target audience would be exposed to, and respect thier opinion. the titles are in interesting font that complements the quirky style of the picture.

The colours we chose to use are eye catching and appealing. They are also in contrast with each other, and so each character seams to be original and have their own personality. The white writing on the bottom stands out against the background. the facial expressions on the boy's faces are immature and funny and so they become instantly likeable by the audience. they look 'cute' and 'alternative' and so are liked by all of our male and female target audiences. The expressions vary which shows their different roles within the band, however the costant background colour shows how they are all in it together. Tom (in yellow) isnt looking directly at the camera to show how they have rebelled against this conventional shot.
